STRETCHING THE TRUTH

A Beginning Photography Class for Those who Fly Fish

8:30 AM January 7, 2017 at the clubhouse

Bring a lunch.

Instructors: Mike Miller and Myron Grossman

We spend a boatload on a really good camera and then put it on “automatic.” Next, we lose the owner’s manual. Then, we fret that our images don't look any better than the ones we take with our phones. Maybe it's time to buckle down and learn what all those buttons do so you too can make your pics better than reality.

Bring your camera with a fully charged battery and it’s owner’s manual. If you can't find the owner’s manual, download it. Together we are going to investigate shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focus and lens selection. We also will be looking at some simple design concepts to help you “fib” better than you do already. In addition, the class will include iPhone photography taught by Myron Grossman. It’s going to be a one-day thing, half in lecture and half outside. We’ll take 12 students max and make better prevaricators all of them.
