Founded in 1947, the Pasadena Casting Club is a group of fly fishing enthusiasts dedicated to the art of angling and casting, conservation, education, catch and release philosophy, and camaraderie through Club meetings, outings and events.

Awards & Affiliations In 1965, the Pasadena Casting Club was a founding member of the Federation of Fly Fishers, an international organization of conservation-minded clubs. In 1976 and again in 1986, the Club received the Federation’s coveted McKenzie Cup as Outstanding Club of the Year. The Club also honors members of the fly fishing community with awards such as the Merigold Complete Angler Award, Troebner Conservation Award, Cathcart Casting Award, and Van Wagner Outstanding Service Award. The Pasadena Casting Club supports the following organizations: California Sportfishing Alliance, California Trout, Federation of Fly Fishers, Fisheries Resource Volunteer Corps, the Environmental Water Caucus, and Trout Unlimited.
