The holiday season arrives much too fast, and our upcoming holiday celebration is just over two weeks away. The first deadline for reservations is Wednesday, November 26.
We’re back at the beautiful La Canada Flintridge Country Club this year. The dining room has a tremendous view of the city lights, and we’ll have live piano music during the cocktail hour. This is the evening when PCC members trade their dingy fishing shirts for equally dingy party clothes, often paired with fly fishing-themed cravats, and is an event perfect for bringing a non-fishing spouse, friend, or family member along.
The dinner is $47 per person for reservations postmarked on or before November 26, $52 per person for reservations postmarked on November 27 or later (if available), due to the substantial headaches and financial risk involved with last-minute changes when dealing with a catering department. The availability of late reservations is limited. No reservations are available at the door. The dinner includes your choice of Grilled Atlantic Salmon or Prime Sirloin Steak. Beverages included in the price are coffee and hot or iced tea. There will be a no-host bar and wine will be available for purchase at the tables. Please be aware that catering costs continue to increase, and PCC does not make a profit on the sale of dinner.
In addition to the dinner, there will be a raffle with an attractive selection of items: the grand prize is an R.L. Winston fly rod (9’, six weight, four-piece), and will also include items from Orvis, Patagonia, Sports Chalet, Bob Marriott’s, and Fisherman’s Spot. Tickets purchased in advance are $20 for 12, $20 for ten at the door. Prepaid tickets will be held at the door for your arrival. Even if you cannot attend the dinner, feel free to purchase raffle tickets; winners need not be present, and tickets you purchase will be placed in the raffle with your name on them.
