Lower Sacramento River and Trinity River Destination Fly Fishing Trip

This three-day destination fishing trip is to the legendary Lower Sacramento River for two days of fishing for huge rainbow trout. There will also be a third day of fishing for steelhead on the renown Trinity River or possibly another river near Redding. Bows in the Lower Sac can get up to 30 inches.

On Monday, October 20, the group will arrive in Redding as the launch point and stay at the Gaia Hotel & Spa Redding for 4 nights (double occupancy). Fishing will start on the following day (Tuesday Oct. 21). As noted, the group will fish for three days with guiding services through The Fly Shop in Redding. The Fly Shop will provide all the equipment, but participants are also encouraged to bring their own rods if they would like. The Gaia Hotel will offer breakfast in addition to the four-night stay with double occupancy.
The cost of this three-day fishing and four-night stay is as follows.

Hotel $ 225 4 nights – Double Occupancy
Guided Fishing $ 820 3 days
Total $1,045

This price includes the 3 days guided fishing with The Fly Shop and a 4-night hotel stay. It does not include transportation to Redding, fishing license, or guide tips. Depending on the group, one or two vehicles could be rented in Sacramento to facilitate driving to Redding. Flights from Burbank or LAX to Sacramento and Redding are available.

Registration is now open on the PCC website. Once registered, there are no refunds. If unable to go, PCC will try to find a replacement.

This will be a great trip to a nationally recognized fishing destination.
