Support Our Fly Fishing Families Affected by the Fires

The recent devastation caused by the Eaton and Palisades Fires has left many in our community facing unimaginable loss. Nine families from the Pasadena Casting Club have lost their homes and their belongings, including their cherished fly fishing gear.

For many of these families, fly fishing isn’t just a hobby—it’s a source of peace, joy, and a connection to nature. It’s an outlet that helps people cope with life’s challenges, offering solace during tough times. The gear they’ve accumulated over the years isn’t just equipment; it’s an extension of their love for the sport and the community that comes with it.

While the road to rebuilding their homes and lives will take time, we know that the role of fly fishing in supporting mental health and community is irreplaceable. This is where we come together as a community, not just to rebuild homes, but to help restore something equally important—their connection to the sport that has always brought them peace.

How You Can Help?

We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and fellow anglers within the fly fishing community to support these families in replacing the gear they’ve lost. Whether it’s a new rod, waders, flies, or other essentials, your donation can provide them with the opportunity to find moments of calm and joy as they rebuild their lives.

Though some gear is irreplaceable, your contribution—whether large or small—will help these families begin anew and reconnect with the sport they love.
